Vehicle

The HART truck is a 2009 diesel-powered ambulance donated by Huron Valley Ambulance that has been customized to meet the needs of the program. It transports volunteers, supplies, and equipment including a generator, coffee brewer, and microwave.

Conversion

Some minor bodywork and vinyl decal changes were done to make the vehicle operational. Students at Ypsilanti Community Schools’ Regional Career Technical Center Auto Collision Program provided the bodywork for free. The students removed the original vinyl graphics, sanded the painted stripes, and repaired portions of the body. Additionally, they repainted the white to cover the stripes and added a green accent color using paint donated by Huron Valley Ambulance.
